I'm the Math Dadd. I was born and raised in Maine and grew up on a farm. I joined the Navy after high school and worked as an aviation electrician for four years. I worked as an Electromechanical Technician over the next twelve years. During that time, I earned an Associate's degree in Electromechanical Engineering. I had the opportunity to use math extensively throughout my work experiences.
I moved to Henderson, Nevada, in 2003. My wife and I have two beautiful girls. I decided to get my teaching degree after several surgeries related to military injuries. I earned my Bachelor's degree in secondary mathematics as well as my Master's degree in Education Technology from Western Governors University.
I currently teach at a JOY Academy of Southern Nevada. I have taught Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, College Prep, Probability & Statistics, Precalculus, Trigonometry, and Personal Finance. I truly enjoy teaching and helping students better understand mathematics.
